18 Nov 2012.Sunday afternoon i spent a couple of hours at The Musicmania Record Fair At Olympia.Always good fun and you always see some surprise items.
Sex Pistols "Anarchy In The UK 1976 Tour" poster went for £1200.
I got a dozen or so cd albums for 50p or £1 each. The Concert Live folks were there who do the instant cd recording of gigs and sell them 30 mins after the show.Normally they are £15 to £20 each. All are via mixing desk.
I got the following. All are double albums.
KISS LIVE IN BERLIN 2008 £7.
PIL LIVE IN LEEDS 2009 £7.
ALICE COOPER LIVE IN BIRMINGHAM 2011 £5.
BAD COMPANY LIVE AT WEMBLEY 2010 £3.
Also from another stall i got this bargain.
Bachman Turner cd and dvd "Live At The Roseland Ballroom New York 2010" for only £2.
18 Nov 2012.The Killers + Tegan And Sara live at The 02 Arena,London.
Had to go back and see The Killers again for their second of two shows at this venue.
Support Tegan And Sara were better tonight. They have a great backing band and some good songs
that would grow on you i would imagine after a few plays.
The Killers play another blinding set.The setlist is changed around a bit too. They opened with "Mr Brightside" with the house lights all left on for the entire song. The two covers by Joy Division and Oasis from last night were dropped and replaced by U2s "With Or Without You".
It was again a 1 hour 50 mins set.
Another really great show.
Mr. Brightside....The Way It Was....Smile Like You Mean It....Spaceman....Bones....Tranquilize..
Bling (Confession of a King)....Miss Atomic Bomb
Human....Somebody Told Me....Here With Me....For Reasons Unknown....From Here On Out....A Dustland Fairytale....With or Without You(U2 cover)....

17 Nov 2012...3pm...QPR play SOUTHAMPTON.
Can QPR at last win a game pleeeeeaaazzzze.
Result = QPR 1 SOUTHAMPTON 3.
So many so called good new players for QPR on mega wages but another awful display by QPR.
16 Nov 2012.The Killers + Tegan And Sara live at The 02 Arena,London.
First of two shows at this venue at the end of their sold out UK arena tour.
This week on Tues and Wed The Killers postponed two shows in Manchester as singer Brandon Flowers had voice problems but everything is now all ok.
Up first we have Tegan And Sara who are identical sisters from Canada and both are lesbians.
They have had six albums out and headlined The Forum the night before this show but the venue remains half empty for all their set as The Killers fans swamp the bars in the 02 Arena complex.40 mins set was ok.
I saw The Killers a couple of months ago at the Roundhouse when their fourth album "Battle Born" came out.
Tonight they are on for around 1 hour 50 mins and to say it mildly The Killers eeerrr killed it.
They really are on fire and flying at the moment. The stage production has loads of lights and lasers and pyros and one big screen but it is nowhere as lavish as the recent Muse production.
What The Killers have are plenty of uptempo songs that folks can sing along to and jump around too.
Brandon Flowers is a great frontman.
A really great show.
Full setlist played...
A Matter of Time....Somebody Told Me....Smile Like You Mean It....Spaceman....The Way It Was...
Heart of a Girl(Partial)...Bling (Confession of a King)....Shadowplay(Joy Division cover)...Miss Atomic Bomb....Human....Here With Me....For Reasons Unknown....From Here On Out....A Dustland Fairytale.... 8.30pm to 10.50pm was Hasan Hejazi party feat Marina And the Diamonds at Baroque,14 Old Park Lane,Mayfair,London W1.
A very plush club in a fantastic location.
Lots of very nice complimentary HOXTON GIN cocktails along with canapes here for all.
A very cool looking younger fashion crowd here.
Having undergone an extensive refurbishment by CID Interiors, theatrical and flamboyant décor sees a colour scheme of gold, ruby red and magenta alongside heavy drapes, Louis XIV chairs, cabaret-style tables and antique mirrors.
The dj kept it lively either side of Marina.
Marina was wearing two specially designed Hasan Hejazi dresses which have been created especially for the evening and are inspired by the Baroque style.
Originally from Manchester, London based womenswear designer Hasan Hejazi specialises in sexy, playful and glamorous eveningwear.
Marina And The Diamonds played a seven song 30 mins set featuring tracks from her two top 10 albums.
Setlist was "Bubblegum Bitch","Homewrecker",
"Primadonna","Starring Role","The State Of Dreaming","Hollywood" and her new single "How To Be A Heartbreaker".A good set and a nice event.
11pm to 12pm was The Square Mile Masked Ball at One Mayfair,London W1.
Popped in here as just a few mins from Baroque.
Black tie event to raise funds for Rays Of Sunshine Childrens Charity.
Brought a mask with me as all the city folks here are wearing masks.A nice lively atmosphere in this fab venue and the dj is playing some decent tunes.
Got into the vip/press area where the freebie drinks and canapes are still flowing.
The host tonight was London Major Boris Johnson but he has gone by the time i get there.
I got a couple of nice goodie bags here.
Thursday 15th November 2012 – Roger Waters, the co-founder and principal songwriter of the archetypal progressive band Pink Floyd, has announced the return of the historic production of “The Wall” at London’s Wembley Stadium on 14th September 2013, plus 24 dates in Europe during 2013. His aural and visual masterpiece of alienation and transformation will be performed in its entirety featuring a full band and state-of-the-art production. “The Wall” live has played 192 shows around the world to more than 3.3 million fans making it one of the most successful tours in rock history. Page 3 of The Daily Mirror. You gotta laugh.
TV star Vic Reeves became embroiled in a drunken bust-up at The Classic Rock awards bash after a guest tried to steal his goodie bag.
Earlier Vic had raised eyebrows by appearing unsteady on his feet as he presented an award to American blues rockers Rival Sons at the event at The Roundhouse in Camden, North West London.
A source said: “He was on a table with the Rival Sons band, who he’s very friendly with, and they’d all been enjoying the party to the full when somebody from a nearby table tried to snatch the gift bag he had been given by the organisers.
A scuffle broke out with Vic at the centre and he had to be pulled away by some friends.
A few minutes later he was outside with one of the guys from Rival Sons and was having a cigarette to try to calm down.
The freebie bags included some £30 headphones, a copy of Classic Rock magazine, a corkscrew and cosmetics bag.
On the back of the Jimmy Saville fallout.
Reading an article on ex boxer Frank Bruno who said Jimmy Saville was one of his best friends over the past 20 years or so and was now worried of being "guilty by association".
I then thought i was at the recording of Gary Glitter "This Is Your Life" in Dec 1991 that was held at Teddington Studios at midnight after his show at Wembley Arena.
Me "guilty by association".Ha.
Thurs 15 Nov 2012 is the 10th anniversary of Joe Strummers last ever gig on 15 Nov 2002.
I was at this legendary show at Acton Town Hall where Mick Jones joined him on stage for the first time in over 15 years to play three classic Clash tunes.
Just six weeks later Joe Strummer was dead.
13 Nov 2012.6.30pm to 12pm.Classic Rock Roll Of Honour Awards at The Roundhouse,London.
Featuring short sets by Lynyrd Skynyrd,Saint Jude and Walking Papers.
A great bunch of rockers here tonight for this magazines annual awards bash.
Around 570 seated for dinner and we are part of the 50 standing at the back.
Lots of free booze all night.
Drinks reception then the dinner then the awards
and three bands playing too.
Walking Papers the band with Duff McKagan on bass played a couple of slower paced blues songs.
In the middle the female fronted Saint Jude played a couple of songs.
At the end Lynryd Skynryd played a three song 22 mins set with "Call Me The Breeze","Sweet Home Alabama" and a mega 12 minutes of "Free Bird".
The host tonight was Duff McKagan.
Others here presenting or hanging out included

12 Nov 2012.Lynyrd Skynyrd live at Shepherds Bush Empire,London.Lynyrd back in London just a few months after i saw their sold out show at Hammersmith Apollo in June 2012.
This is the first time the band have played at this venue since i saw them play a tv special for Old Grey Whistle Test here way back in Nov 1975 when the building was owned by the BBC and was used for tv recordings rather than live music.
That was of course the classic line up a couple of years before their fatal plane crash.
A great atmosphere for their 95 mins set.
There really is a unique bond and warmth shown between the band and their London fans.
The stage is full as there are the seven band members and two female backing singers.
Its good time southern blues rock with the tracks from their new Roadrunner Records album "Last Of A Dyin' Breed" mixing well with all the classic oldies.Highlights include
"Simple Man","Gimme Three Steps" and a brilliant "Sweet Home Alabama" with all the crowd singing loudly.
Encore was a beyond mega 12 minute version of "Free Bird" that was stunning as usual.
A great show.
Full setlist played....
Last of a Dyin' Breed....What's Your Name....
Down South Jukin'.... That Smell....Saturday Night Special....One Day at a Time....I Know a Little....Simple Man....Gimme Back My Bullets..

11 Nov 2012.David Cassidy + Leo Sayer + Hot Chocolate + Smokie live at Wembley Arena,London.
The "Once In A Lifetime" package tour comes to London which features four name acts from the 1970s who combined have a staggering 55 Top 10 UK hits between them.
Around 30 hit singles played tonight so plenty of singing along by the middle aged crowd.
I saw the three main acts in their 70s heyday including David Cassidys famous show at White City Stadium in 1974 when a female fan was crushed to death.
Smokie opened the show with a 35 mins set and the three main acts played for 45 mins each.
The venue was half empty tonight as unsold.
Smokie played "If You Think You Know How To Love Me","Dont Play Your Rock n Roll" and their biggest hit "Living Next Door To Alice".
Next up were Hot Chocolate with the super smoothe Errol Brown in a white suit and white shoes.Lots of good catchy hits played inc "Everyones A Winner","No Doubt About It","Emily","So You Win Again","It Started With A Kiss" and "You Sexy Thing".
Great to see Leo Sayer again as he has been living in Australia and rarely tours the UK.
Now aged 64 and still with a head of curly hair.
Lots of good tunes inc "The Show Must Go On",
"One Man Band","Moonlighting","Thunder In My Heart","You Make Me Feel Like Dancing","When I Need You" and "You Know I Can Dance".
Most of the females here are for David Cassidy who was one of the biggest popstars of the early 1970s.David said he first played this venue in 1973 when he played six shows here in three days.
He still looks good even though he fumbled around a bit repeating himself. The less i say about his guitar playing the better.
The fans rushed the stage and swooned for "Cherish","Daydreamer","Could It Be Forever",
"How Can I Be Sure" and "I Think I Love You" but tonight i preferred Leo Sayer and Hot Chocolate.
An enjoyable evening with some nice memories of that magical decade.
09 Nov 2012.Soundgarden live at Shepherds Bush Empire,London.
Only UK show by Seattle grunge rockers Soundgarden to promote their new album "King Animal" that is out on Monday 12 Nov.
My ticket tout mates are having a field day as tickets selling outside for £100 each.
Soundgarden played three songs on Later With Jools tv show earlier this week.
I saw them play a big outdoor headlining show in Hyde Park in July but i thought it was pretty average as they do not have enough big tunes.
I was at this venue in March 1994 when Soundgarden played an invite only show for the first ever gig at this venue after it was sold off by the BBC.For some reason Chris Cornell kept saying it was 25 years since they last played there but simple maths says it is 18 years.
A great atmosphere inside for the two hour show.
The floor standing is a sweating heaving mess.
I am up in Level 1 and Duff McKagan ex Guns And Roses bass player is sitting to the left of me.
Opening song "Been Away Too Long" from the new album is good even though the other new album tracks sound pretty average.Soundgarden riffs grind along nicely but still not many songs that really stick out as great. There are some goodies played including "Spoonman" and "Outshined".
"Black Hole Sun" near the end was really good and got massive cheers and all the crowd were singing along.
This hardcore crowd loved it but i still think
it was a good show but not mega.
Full setlist played.....
Been Away Too Long....My Wave....Spoonman....Let Me Drown....Room a Thousand Years Wide....Flower
....Hunted Down....Drawing Flies....Incessant Mace....Blow Up the Outside World....Fell on Black Days....Loud Love....Black Saturday....
Eyelid's Mouth....Taree....Rusty Cage....
Encores:...Worse Dreams....The Day I Tried to Live....Black Hole Sun....Slaves & Bulldozers
08 Nov 2012.Joe Jackson And The Bigger Band live at Cadogan Hall,Chelsea.London.
Joe Jackson in London as part of his European Tour to promote his recent album "The Duke" which has his versions of Duke Ellington classics.
Joe Jackson now aged 58 is an English musician and singer-songwriter now living in Berlin, whose five Grammy Award nominations span from 1979 to 2001.He is probably best known for the 1979 hit song and first single "Is She Really Going Out with Him?", which still gets extensive US FM radio airplay. He was popular for his pop/rock and new wave music early on before moving to more eclectic, though less commercially successful, pop/jazz/classical hybrids.
I first saw Joe Jackson at the famous Nashville
Pub back in 1979 when his first single came out and have seen him over a dozen times since.
In 1979 when i went to New York for the first time on a Freddie Laker Skytrain Joe Jackson was on the same flight as me.
On stage for 1 hour 55 mins with a top notch band that featured a violinist and a fantastic percussion player with Joe Jackson on keyboards.
The set was a mix of Duke Ellington covers and songs from his own 30 plus years career.
Great songs like "Its Different For Girls" and the crack band at full tilt for "Another World" and "Steppin' Out".The three song encore were brilliant with "Is She Really Going Out With Him?","Sunday Papers" and "A Sad Song".A really good show.
Full setlist played...
It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)....It's Different for Girls....In a Sentimental Mood....Caravan....You Can't Get What You Want....Breaking Us in Two....I'm Beginning to See the Light / Taking the 'A' Train / Cotton Tail....Mood Indigo....Rockin' in Rhythm....
Invisible Man....Home Town....Perdido / Satin Doll....The Mooche / Black and Tan Fantasy....
Another World....Target....Steppin' Out....It Don't Mean a Thing (If It Ain't Got That Swing)..
Encores:...Is She Really Going Out With Him?...
Sunday Papers....A Slow Song

07 Oct 2012.Rod Stewart book signing at Waterstones,Piccadilly,London.
A big crowd here from all over the UK for Rods signing of his new autobiography.
A friend is a big Rod fan so i said i would go along.I got there 7.45am yes 7.45am for the signing that was down for 12.30pm.
Even then i am raffle ticket 91 out of 250 allowed. There was nice friendly banter between all the waiting crowd.
Rod Stewart and Penny were dead on time.
Rod looking very dapper as usual.
Some rules here.
Only the book to be signed. No other items.
Two copies per person allowed.
I bought my copies from Tesco for £9 as Waterstones charging £20 for the book.
Waterstones allowed book purchases from rivals.
No photos of Rod with the customers but you can take photos of Rod and Penny.
I got mine signed just after 1pm so pretty much i was there over 5 hours. Will not be making a habit of doing that any day soon but job done.
After the signing Rod flew to Glasgow to watch Celtic beat Barcelona 2-1.Rod was all over the tv and papers as he was seen crying with joy with the result.
then 3pm to 7.30pm i was back at the World Travel Market Expo at Excel,East London.
So much going on here at this event each day.
Thailand was good today as they had a Thai boxing demonstration.Today the African countries all had lively presentations and parties.Best were South Africa and Nigeria. It was then a full on caribbean party with steel bands etc.
Cricket legend Brian Lara was here.
Lots of complimentary rum cocktails and food.
Had to get home for an early night as whacked out after the early start for the Rod book signing.
06 Nov 2012.World Travel Market Expo at Excel,East London.
3pm to 7.30pm.Day 2 of 4 of this event.
This massive travel event for trade and press has pretty much every country in the world represented with its own stand.
A lot of the stands are doing special presentations and there is plenty of complimentary drinks and food from their country or region.
My fave tonight was The Texas presentation.
I have never been there but apart from cowboys they have a massive selection of arenas and venues
that bring in the best in live music and sports including the highly rated SXSW music festival in Austin.Coastlines too from a state that is bigger than France.Places like Dallas,Austin,Houston,San Antonio,Fort Worth and many more all look great.
They also have a GP Formula 1 race coming soon.
Everyone got a real cowboy hat and Parker pen too.
See www.travaltex.com for more info.
8.30pm to 11pm was "Incredible India" Evening Dinner and Cultural Programme
at Guoman Hotel,St Katherine's Way,Tower Bridge,London E1.
This was related to The World Travel Market event.
Over 500 folks seated at tables at this nice hotel.
First of all we had half a dozen displays of colourful Indian dancing then a full complimentary Indian meal with half a dozen different dishes and four desserts. Also complimentary Kingfisher lagers.
A really nice event.

Status Quo’s classic four-man line-up is heading out on tour next March. For the first time in over three decades, vocalist/guitarists Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, bassist/vocalist Alan Lancaster and drummer John Coghlan will take the stage together to play six UK dates.
This celebrated version of the band – referred to by fans as the Frantic Four – play Glasgow Academy March 10, Manchester Apollo 12, Wolverhampton Civic Hall 13 and London Hammersmith Apollo 15-17.
I saw Status Quo over 20 times with Alan Lancaster from 1974 until he left the band.
Will be great to see this line up play again but doubt it will recapture those great 1970s gigs.
Also a neat touch they are playing The Hammersmith Odeon/Apollo which was their venue
of choice back in the old days.
November 03, 2012
01 Nov 2012.6.50pm to 10.30pm i was at The Stonewall Awards at The Victoria And Albert Museum,South Kensington,London SW7.
Gok Wan hosted this annual awards celebrating the range of positive contributions made by individuals both gay and heterosexual and organisations to the lives of gay people in Britain.Over 500 folks in this stunning venue.
Complimentary Devaux champers all night along with canapes including oysters for an hour before the awards and different bowl food and desserts for an hour after the awards.
Ten awards given out.TV presenter Sue Perkins was a popular winner for "Entertainer Of The Year" and "Bigot Of The Year" went to Cardinal Keith O'Brien who is the leader of the Catholic Church in Scotland.
Faces here included MP Dianne Abbott,Vanessa Feltz,Dr Christian Jessen,Jodie Harsh and music folks Holly Johnson ex Frankie Goes To Hollywood,Beverley Knight and the singer from The Feeling.
Holly Johnson was very ill a decade ago but looks much healthier these days.
He played a one off show at The Rewind Festival in Henley August 2011 but when asked about more gigs he said "it is all a bit tricky".
He said "even trying to do promo work for FGTH was difficult as places like Russia where FGTH were very popular would not let him in the country as he is HIV positive".
Always a nice event this one.
Sad news earlier this week that Terry Callier, the Chicago soul and bluesman who died at 67 of cancer.
In the late 1990s Callier finally got his due when he was rediscovered in Britain by acid-jazz aficionados and brought to London to perform. He ended up tapping a gusher of inspired new material, starting with his 1998 release "TimePeace," and collaborating with Paul Weller and Beth Orton, among others.
I saw him a couple of times at The Jazz Cafe in the late 1990s.
31 Oct 2012.Suzi Quatro live at The Hippodrome Casino,Leicester Square,London.
This very nice lounge club with plush seats around tables holds just 200 punters.
I was just 14 when in 1973 i saw Suzi Quatro on Top Of The Pops playing bass and wearing a leather jumpsuit.Woooowwwww.
In her native Detroit in the 1960s Suzy was in all female bands The Pleasure Seekers at age just 14 then she was in Cradle.
In 1971 she moved to London where Mickie Most introduced Quatro to the songwriting and production team Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman.Following a support slot on a UK tour with Thin Lizzy and headliners Slade, her second single "Can the Can" (1973) was a number one hit throughout Europe and in Australia. It was followed up by three further hits: "48 Crash" (1973), "Daytona Demon" (1973), and "Devil Gate Drive" (1974) on RAK Records. "Can the Can", "48 Crash" and "Devil Gate Drive" each sold over one million copies. The 1970s were her heyday.
I saw her headline Hammersmith Odeon in 1978 and 1980.
Suzi went off the radar a bit in the 1980s when she got married and had children.
Now age 62 and still looking good Suzi and band were on stage for 95 mins. The main set of 80 mins was 50/50 music and chat as between songs Suzi gave a complete life story year by year from her early days in Detroit which included pictures on the big screen and some famous video clips from the 1970s.She played mainly cover songs that influenced her so we got Elvis Presley,Beatles etc.Suzi looked like she was really enjoying herself.
For the encores she changed into the famous leather jumpsuit and played three of her big hits
"Can The Can","Devil Gate Drive" and "If You Can't Give Me Love".An enjoyable show even though there was more chat than expected.
30 Oct 2012.I went to three events tonight.
First was 5.30pm to 6.30pm Vélez Wood Photography private view at TESTBED1 33 Parkgate Rd, Battersea, London SW11

6.45pm to 8pm was The Spears Wealth Management Awards at Phillips De Pury Gallery,Victoria, London SW1.
Over 500 banker types here male and female for awards including Best Asset Management,Best Private Bank,Best Law Firm,Best Private Bank etc.
These are probably the only type of folks who can afford Rolling Stones tickets.
Having said that they normally have champers here but this year its only cocktails, wines and some nice canapes.
We depart as the awards begin.
8.15pm to 11.30pm.
An evening with Fabi Shoes at Locanda Ottoemezzo,
2 Thackery Street,Kensington,London W8.
Italian leather fashion designer showcases their range of top quality male shoes, female shoes and accessories at this very nice Italian restaurant just off Kensington High Street.
We had a a presentation in one room then everyone sat down for a complimentary multi plate feast from the Le Marche region in collaboration with 2 star Michelin chef Mauro Illiassi along with fully topped up presecco and wines all evening.
Around a dozen dishes. This is what we had.
The best food i have had for ages.
The staff were all fantastic too.
Loacker,foie gras and hazelnut.
Bread and butter anchovies.
Sea bass and tomato basil.
Red shrimp with lemon.
Cuttlefish tagliatella and Nori seaweed.
Fried squid with tandori powder.
Mash potatoes and black truffle.
Risotto parmesan and wild pigeon.
Auntie Helenas Cappelletti.
Red snapper with chicken sauce.
Also got a couple of decent goodie bags.
29 Oct 2012.Bryan Adams live at The Royal Albert Hall,London.
Only UK show as part of this years "Bare Bones" acoustic tour.Just Bryan and his guitar and a piano player used for some songs. On stage for two hours. It was pretty much a greatest hits set except for three or four lesser known tracks.
Bryan has played these acoustic tours between band tours for the past three or four years.
I have seen Bryan Adams play live around 20 times since 1985.A totally rammed sold out show full of his adoring female fans shouting out song requests after each song played which meant lots of banter between Bryan and the fans.
Every song has simple lyrics but they are all so catchy and everyone is clapping and singing along and then they rush to the front of stage for the encores.A really enjoyable show.

Reminds me of when i spent a week in Paris for The Stones 2003 tour where we ended up going to gigs and two Mick Jagger aftershow parties.
29 Oct 2012.The Rolling Stones played another gig in Paris. This time looks like it was mainly for bankers.Reminds me of the time i went to see The Eagles at Indigo a few years ago. Some 500 bankers all paid £1000 to be there.

28 Oct 2012.Alice Cooper + Ugly Kid Joe + Duff McKagan's Loaded live at Wembley Arena,London.
Alice Cooper returns to the UK once again for his third Halloween Night of Fear tour, a now-annual institution of the macabre, celebration of gore and all out rock n roll fright fest.
Maybe he is playing the UK too often as the venue is only two thirds full.
On Tues 23 Oct 2012 Alice Cooper was at Wembley Arena to cast his handprints to celebrate playing the venue in each of the last five
decades.I saw both his shows there in 1975.
I get to the venue early at 6.30pm to see the promised zombies and freaks show in the foyer.
The foyer is all dressed in black curtains and there are giant skulls and spiders hanging and 40 or 50 fully made up freaks and zombies and goulish folks on stilts are walking about. It was fum watching them spook the punters coming in for 30 mins.Great to see the effort that was put in by all concerned.Lots of the crowd were dress in good halloween costumes as well.
I am in early so i get a great stalls standing place just 8 or 9 rows from stage left.
First band on is Duff McKagan's Loaded.Duff is of course ex Guns And Roses and he arrives on stage at the very un G n R time of 7.15pm.Just half a dozen songs played ending with G n R gem
"Its So Easy".I bet he is wishing Axl and Slash would kiss and make up as G n R original line up reunion would headline outdoor stadiums.
Next are Ugly Kid Joe who reformed a couple of years ago. They play a 40 mins set including a cover of "Cats In The Cradle" and "Everything About You" which were both early 1990s hits.Duff joined them for last song which was a cover of "Ace Of Spades".
Alice Cooper on stage for 95 mins with a rockin band that played and looked the part.Alice again delivered one of the best live shows of the year. There is no "Only Women Bleed" or guillotine but we have the snake, costume changes and other visual treats.Alice is so good at working the crowd. The newer songs sound great but the oldies always will rule.Tracks like "Hello Horray","No More Mr Nice Guy","I'm Eighteen","Under My Wheels" and the two classics at the end "Poison" and "Schools Out" with bubbles, streamers and giant balloons. In the middle he played a four song "Raise The Dead" tribute to Jim Morrison,Jimi Hendrix,John Lennon and Keith Moon.
Will be in my Top 10 gigs of the year for sure.

The UK's #1 Gig-Goer
In November 2008 the BBC confirmed me as the UK's number one gig-goer. The jacket was a gig-going prize from Q Magazine a few years ago. I do not wear it outside of the house let alone out to gigs!
Over 5,500 gigs now seen by me since 1973 covering all genres. I still go to over 100 gigs a year.
