This gig was to showcase his fifth album 'Make A Move' which is released on SONY on 14 Oct 2013.
Quite a few young girl fans at the front who know all the words. His set was the older hits he has had in America and a couple of tracks from the new album.
Relationships seem to feature a lot in the lyrics.
He has a great voice that covers pop/soul/rock with a relaxed and friendly stage manner.
The songs are very radio friendly so he could easily break big over here like he has done in America.
Nine songs played in the 50 mins set.
His band were really good.A nice gig.

01 Oct 2013.
Deep Purple play five UK shows this month before they head into mainland Europe.
Their new album 'Now What?' came out April 2013.

30 Sept 2013.One of the greatest comebacks ever?
HMV has returned to it’s original home at 363 Oxford Street next door to Bond Street tube station.
The first HMV store was opened at No.363 by Sir Edward Elgar in 1921. It remained there until 2000 when HMV relocated to its current 150 Oxford Street store.
However, after the retailer was taken over by Hilco earlier this year, the brand has decided to return to its original site - amidst reports that No.150 will eventually close down.
HMV at 363 Oxford Street re-opened at the weekend.

29 Sept 2013.KISS bassist Gene Simmons sung the US National Anthem this weekend at London's Wembley Stadium for the NFL International Series game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings.
Simmons sung(without his trademark KISS make up) 'The Star Spangled Banner' before the 6pm kick off.
The game was live on Channel 4,More 4 and SKY.
Before the game Gene did tv interviews on 'Soccer AM' and 'Sunday Brunch'.

28 Sept 2013. Paramore + Charli XCX live at Wembley Arena,London.
This was the second of two shows at this venue for Paramore who are on a massive world tour to promote their fourth album 'Paramore' which went to number one in the UK,North America and other countries.
The support was Charli XCX who wrote and was featured on Icona Pop's song "I Love It", which became a breakthrough hit for both artists, reaching the top 10 in numerous countries.
With an all girl band she played a good 35 mins of catchy electro pop tunes.A nice shouty wild child attitude too.It was an enjoyable set.
Paramore play a good 1 hour 40 mins set.A nice production with loads of lights, lasers and big screens.Their sound comes under 'emo pop rock'.
One of those shows were i seem to be at least twice the age of nearly everyone here.
The front stalls standing area is rammed.
Singer Hayley Williams has plenty of stage charisma as she knows what her fans want to hear as she runs around the stage doing her Lara Croft high kicking impersonation.
Set highlights included 'That's What You Get',
'Pressure','Misery Business' and final song
'Still Into You'.
A good show.

27 Sept 2013.Fleetwood Mac live at The 02 Arena,London.
Tonight was the last of three sold out shows at The 02 Arena.
This is their first UK tour since Oct 2009 when i saw two of their Wembley Arena shows.
Their classic album 'Rumours' from 1977 is one of the best selling albums of all time with sales of over 40 million.
The band were on stage for a lengthy 2 hours 45 mins. The venue is rammed and the atmosphere really good as the stalls seats all rush the stage at the start and stay there.
There are lots of older rock n roll chicks here trying to do their Stevie Nicks look which was nice to see.
Half a dozen rows in front of me is Fleetwood Mac UK and Europe booking agent Rod MacSween and Jenny Boyd whose book launch i attended the evening before.
The band fill the stage nicely with backing singers and they have the three big screens too.
Mick Fleetwood has a massive drum kit that sounded great so it was odd that for some songs they used a second drummer with a tiny kit who was stuck hidden behind Lindsey Buckingham's amps.Mick still plays the eccentric Englishman.
Lindsey has a fantastic finger playing guitar style that is just great to watch.
So many great songs written when all the various couples in the band were splitting painfully.
I think it was 7 out of 11 songs played from the
'Rumours' album and loads of other big tunes.
Christine McVie joined her old band Fleetwood Mac onstage for The Wed gig encore at The O2 Arena for 'Don't Stop' and the venue erupted when Christine did the same tonight.
Christine McVie left the band in 1998.
Only real downside was the far too long and gushing introductions, stage chat,hugs,hand-kissing etc.
A great show.

Dr Jenny Boyd: 'It's Not Only Rock 'n' Roll' - book launch party at Myhotels, 35 Ixworth Place, Chelsea,London SW3.
Ex wife of Mick Fleetwood hosts a party for friends and family to launch her book.
She also had a relationship with folk-rock singer Donovan, who wrote the song "Jennifer Juniper" about her.
Good timing as it is the rest day for Fleetwood Mac London shows at The 02 Arena.
Guests included her sister Pattie Boyd who is best known as the first wife of both George Harrison and Eric Clapton. Also here is Mick Fleetwood, Christine McVie and a random sighting of snooker player/presenter John Virgo.
A nice relaxed crowd of mainly older folks.
At 7pm Jenny Boyd then Mick Fleetwood both gave nice speeches.
I had a nice chat with both Mick Fleetwood and Christine McVie who were both nice and friendly.
Christine has been away from the stage for a while said she was not nervous at all when she came on for a song as The 02 Arena as she had gone to Dublin to rehearse with the band.
A good session for signing as all were happy to oblige so i got my book signed by Jenny Boyd,
Mick Fleetwood and Christine McVie.
I got my 'Rumours' vinyl album signed by Mick Fleetwood and Christine McVie and i got a photo with me and Mick Fleetwood and a photo with me and Christine McVie.An execellent event.
Complimentary presecco, wines and canapes here for all guests.

25 Sept 2013....7.45pm to 10pm....
Press evening for the re-launch of The Earl Derby,155 Kilburn High Road,London NW6.
Returning to its former name, The Earl Derby on the site of the Golden Egg on Kilburn High Road gets a refit as a posh pub with a wide range of draught beers, and a breakfast of champions for brunch. Although serving decent food, a lot of time and thought has gone into the drinks list so you get Meantime Yakima Red and Camden Brewery Hells Lager alongside local cask ales, and quality ciders including Addlestones and Aspall. Aside from the traditional pub drinks there's an interesting wine list, great Bloody Marys, artisan spirits and homemade soft drinks. Classic yet creative pub dishes served in the 200-cover Earl Derby include beef brisket and beetroot hash served with fried egg, salt and pepper squid, and cider and tarragon battered cod. There's Saturday brunch and Sunday roasts to be enjoyed in the dining room decked out in navy and grey, with reclaimed timber flooring, exposed brickwork and rustic oak paneling. Chesterfield-style sofas, distressed tables and vintage chandeliers complete the lived-in look.
The staff are nice and friendly here.
The owner said the pub was a £2 a pint place that would be open from 9am to midnight so attracted the wrong customers so he has made it a bit more upmarket in an area that needs a few more places like this.
We had two courses and drinks each.
The starters was really nice and very filling.
Also the mains were very generous portions.
Must be the first time all three of us could not finish the main meal there was so much.
If you live in the area well worth checking out.

24 Sept 2013...I went to two events tonight.
Media night for 'Spamalot' at The Playhouse Theatre, Northumberland Avenue, London WC2.
Warwick Davis, known for roles in the Harry Potter franchise and Life's Too Short, joins pre-existing cast members Les Dennis and Bonnie Langford in the Arthurian comedy at this beautiful theatre that dates back to 1882.
Based on the cult 1975 film 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail', the uproariously funny musical follows King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table on a jaunty quest to find the renowned relic. Original Monty Python member Eric Idle wrote the music and lyrics, and had a prominent place a the 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony singing 'Always Look on the Bright Side of Life,' which features prominently in the musical. Other musical highlights include 'The Song That Goes Like This,' 'Knights of the Round Table,' and 'The Diva’s Lament (What Happened to My Part?).'
The show was on for around 1 hour 40 mins over two sets.I have seen it a couple of times before with other cast members but i think this cast is even better than those.
Les Dennis,Bonnie Langford and Warwick Davis are brilliant in their roles.
They keep things topical as even Paulo Di Canio gets a mention.
So many great songs with so many mad and silly moments that make it really entertaining from start to finish.
It is a 'must see' musical for sure. tickets to see 'Spamalot' here.
10.15pm to 10.45pm.Aftershow drinks with the cast in the bar at the venue.
All the cast turned up including Les Dennis, Bonnie Langford,Warwick Davis and his family.
Also here was BBC dj Janice Long and singer Jane McDonald.
Complimentary wines, beers and nibbles for all.
11pm to 1am.Samsung Galaxy Note 3 & Gear - launch party at ME London, 336-337 The Strand, London WC2.
My first visit to this luxury hotel built a year ago and it is very impressive. The terrace bar
here overlooking the West End is really nice.
Samsung events are always mega.Even though we arrived for the last two hours there was still a full complimentary bar going of any drink you wanted including Laurent Perrier champers.
A dj was playing some tunes.Ellie Goulding was here but we missed her short live set.
Dominic Cooper,Nicola Roberts and host Vernon Kay were still here.Samsung's latest gadget, a watch that allows users to take pictures, access emails, texts and even make phone calls without touching their mobile.
All the celeb guests got a goodie bag with a phone and the new watch in.

24 Sept 2013.
Davina Elliott has dedicated the past 25 years of her life to musicals and theatre. Working behind the scenes on many of the top London shows, Davina’s latest ‘role’ will be as a dresser on the new musical coming to London in October – From Here To Eternity.
Living such a colourful life led Davina to pen The Judith Gold trilogy. Following rave reviews from the likes of Amanda Holden, Nigel Planer and Susie Blake, Davina’s laugh-out-loud fiction trilogy is now available as e-books (from September 2013).
Davina says: “One of the great things about theatre is the diversity of people who work there, in age, race, ambition and sexual orientation. These books reflect this diversity. We are living longer yet leading roles in film, on stage, on TV and characters in books still seem to be young, particularly women, whereas my leading lady is elderly.”
Chewing the Scenery, Climbing the Curtain and Storming the Stage are published by Puck Books and available from all good book shops and

23 Sept 2013....7pm to 11pm....
Book launch party for 'Big Life' by Jazz Summers at The Groucho Club,45 Dean Street,London W1.
Always nice to be in this private members club in Soho that is popular with folks in the music biz, theatre,tv etc.
Jazz Summers was co-manager of Wham and then he set up Big Life Managemenet.
Established in 1986 by Jazz Summers and Tim Parry, Big Life Management has shaped the careers of a multitude of successful artists. With an unfaltering desire to stick to "getting the music right, and the rest will follow" Big Life has been instrumental in the successes of artists as diverse as Lisa Stansfield, The Verve, Coldcut, La Roux and Snow Patrol.
Looking over a timeline of the company's early history is almost a who's who of acclaimed alternative acts and breakthrough mainstream successes, beginning with The Soup Dragons and moving on to Coldcut, Yazz (also released by the sister company Big Life Records, home also at the time to De La Soul and later The Orb) and Lisa Stansfield.
It's arguably in the late 90s however where Big Life really hit its stride. Summers and Parry picked up The Verve and helped them to craft their third album 'Urban Hymns' - it later went on to become one of the biggest selling albums of all time in the UK. This new streak the delivered Mercury Prize winning Mancunian Badly Drawn Boy and his revered 'Hour of the Bewilderbeast' LP.
In 2003, the pair picked up a leftfield indie band called Snow Patrol and after sticking with the act through a tough period of convincing record labels, 'Final Straw' was released the next year. That and its successor were worldwide successes for the band.
Current day Big Life is as excitable about music as ever.Recent international success with Klaxons, La Roux and a commitment to its artists by supporting the self-release of The Futureheads' last two album have ensured the firm's place amongst the musical landscape for years to come.
As Summers puts it himself, "I've enjoyed the last 25 years, so here's to the next 25."
About the book.....
Enter the world of Jazz Summers, one of the the music industry's most notorious manager. Be transported from the monsoon drains of sixties Boogie Street to the smoke-filled folk clubs of seventies New York. Be a soldier. Form a band. Smoke dope in Malacca. Go to meetings in the coke-sprinkled boardrooms of eighties Los Angeles. Manage Wham! . Drink wine. Wear baggy suits. Eat at uptight banquets in pre-Tiananmen Beijing. Hear Punk's first screech. Drink heavily. Wear make-up. Go back to the year of Acid House and manage Yazz. Marry Yazz. Meet Roy Orbison. Outstare Puff Daddy. Lobby the Stones for 'Bittersweet Symphony'. Manage Snow Patrol, The Verve, La Roux. X-Ray an Egyptian princess. Live. Witness Jazz Summers reflect with shocking and inspirational candour on his search for music and balance. Big Life is a hysterical and heartbreaking account of one man's struggle with the Universe, his riotous dance to the music of time.
A couple of his best friends made very funny speeches.
None of the main acts he looks after seem to be here at the launch party but there are plenty of big name music biz folks here who have done 30 plus years service including Rod MacSween(ITB agent for KISS,Def Leppard, Soundgarden and many more),Neil Warnock (The Agency agent for The Beach Boys,Alice Cooper,Motorhead and many more),Rob Hallett(AEG promoter),Jonathan Shalit(agent who looks after many music, theatre,tv acts).
Complimentary presecco, wines, beers and canapes for all guests here tonight.
The book is in the shops Thurs 27 Sept 2013.
A very nice event.

22 Sept 2013.I went to two events today.

As their website says.

Great location as you come out of the tube.
We had a very nice complimentary three course meal.I had the Fish Pie as mains and my guest had the Rib Eye Steak.Very tasty.
In fact all the food was very good quality.
The service was not so good as the staff did not seem to understand English that well.
Hopefully that will improve as the restaurant opens for paying customers today Mon 23 Sept. out Bill's website here.
then later on...
Johnny Dowd Band + David Sinclair Trio live at The Ram Jam Club,46 Richmond Road,Kingston.
Nice to see a proper pub with a live music room.
A cosy venue of seats and standing that holds maybe 100 max.
Up first is The David Sinclair Trio who play a really good 50 mins set of tracks from their
three albums.Lots of goodies played including 'The Week Is Almost Over','The Illness And The Cure','Living Like A Yo-Yo','Fanta Hell','Eight Rounds Later','London Dust' and a brilliant
'Loneliness(Won't Leave Me Alone)'.
Loads of great lyrics, nifty guitar playing and
hints of Dire Straits in a lot of their songs.
Johnny Dowd is on a European Tour to promote his new album 'Do The Gargon' which was released on
5 August 2013.
Johnny Dowd aged 65 is one of those American acts that's gets critical acclaim more than actual record sales.
His lyrics and music are more often compared to that of Tom Waits, Nick Cave,Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart with a mad mix of funk, jazz, country, blues and prog along with some dry humour.
Johnny on guitar is joined by an excellent keyboard player and drummer. The songs are mostly his own with a couple of cover versions including 'Green Onions'.An enjoyable gig.

20 Sept 2013.Rod Stewart + Moya live at The 02 Arena,London.
Rod Stewart back for the second leg of his UK tour. The first leg had two shows at this venue and the second leg has two shows at this venue.
Support act Moya played a 25 mins of pretty
average light pop tunes.
Rod is another act i have a lot of history with as i have seen him play live over 20 times including six of his legendary Kensington Olympia gigs in 1976/1977/1978.
Last year when his autobiography came out i queued up for five hours to get my two copies of the book signed.
Rod has had an amazing level of success for over 40 years with well over 100 million album sales.
Now age 68 he looks and dresses much younger. That great raspy voice is not what it was but that young at heart football loving mate next door personality is still intact.
His recent album 'Time' has gone platinum in the UK as well as hitting number one in the charts.
It is his first album of his own songs for over a decade after releasing lots of those dodgy cover albums.
Rod and his big band are on stage for 1 hour 55 mins. One big screen and lots of smaller ones.
Lots of crowd singalongs with most of the biggest hits in the final third of the show.
New songs like 'Brighton Beach' were great.
During 'Hot Legs' his usual stunt of kicking out 30 or 40 signed footballs went down a treat.
As always Rod puts on a really enjoyable show.

The Maple Trace bourbon based was my fave.
There is a trio playing some cover versions here as the venue will be playing live music and staying up well past bedtime with a late licence.
They also have a film projector playing clips.
There is a nice laid back rock n roll feel here.
The toilet signs are in a dozen different languages or slang terms ie dunnies, bogs etc.
Lots of nice food here with the chicken wings in horseradish bbq sauce my fave.
The 35 bus goes from outside the venue to The Brixton Academy in just 10 mins so easy to pop in here first before going a gig there.

6.45pm to 8.45pm.Guinness World Records 2014 Edition – book launch party at
One Marylebone, 1 Marylebone Road, London, NW1.
This was a fun event as there were half a dozen world record holders here including the worlds shortest comedian and a singer who hasn't cut her fingernails in two decades.
Chris Walton, 47, holds the title for the world's longest fingernails. They now reach more than 20 feet with each nail around 2 feet, twisting and turning in a way that would appear to make even the most simple tasks near impossible.
The grandmother is better known by her stage name 'The Dutchess' in Nevada and California. But her voice is far from the first thing you would notice if you bumped into her in the street.
You could attempt some world records here. The most popular was how many party poppers can you pop open in 30 seconds. The world record is 29.
Very messy but great fun.
Faces here included Scott Mills from Radio 1 who was the dj tonight, Charlotte Crosby, Vanessa Feltz, Stacey Solomon, Warwick Davis, Rav Wilding, Ashley Walters who is fantastic in the lead role on tv show 'Top Dog', Toby Anstis and others.
Complimentary cocktails,beers,wines and canapes.

www.guinnessworldrecords.comMore info and where to buy the book.
9pm to 9.30pm.Harper's Bazaar - LFW Closing Party at Annabel's, 44 Berkeley Square, London, W1.

Also Thirty Seconds To Mars vocalist Jared Leto. Jo Wood and her daughter Leah. Also Natt Weller, Lulu Guinness,Jo Whiley,Rachel Hunter, Gillian Anderson and TV presenter Laura Whitmore.

An excellent event.

16 Sept 2013.....8pm to 11pm.....
The Future Contemporaries X Diesel Reboot Party
at The Serpentine Gallery,Kensington Gardens,London W2.
Around 500 folks here with most paying £125 for their tickets.A bit chilly as held outside but thankfully no rain.
This year it was not as good as last year as the bands and celeb guests were not as good.
Last year The Kills topped the bill and guests included Kate Moss, Alexa Chung,Sarah Ferguson, Noel Fielding, Faris Badwan, Harry Styles, Kelly Osbourne and others.
This year the only face i saw was Sarah Harding from Girls Aloud.
Complimentary drinks and food here so we had a choice of four different cocktails, beers, wines and a fresh pizza van that was very popular.
Two acts Mutya Keisha Siobhan and AlunaGeorge
played just four songs each and there was a dj too.
Up first was AlunaGeorge who was pretty average as usual then it was Mutya Keisha Siobhan (often shortened to MKS).The group consists of Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan. The trio comprised the founding members of the Sugababes, although each of them individually departed the group in 2001, 2005, and 2009.
Their short set was just poppy girly stuff.
We needed some proper rock n roll like The Kills from last year.
A good evening but not as great as last year.

7.30pm to 8.10pm.One of the most anticipated events for London Fashion Week was the opening of the new BELSTAFF flagship store in New Bond Street.
BELSTAFF has been the ultimate British outwear brand ever since it launched in 1924. Initially only worn by bikers and aviators it has transcended utility and become an integral part of many a fashionista's wardrobe. Their edgy designs, cool classics and uber stylish campaigns have made their pieces, the go to jackets for creating a casual leather look.
I had a couple of their jackets in the late 1970s when i owned two motorbikes.
No invite for me so watched from the outside and this was a major event just for a store.
First of they have managed to close off New Bond Street to traffic and 20 plus security guys and barriers everywhere as it is more like a film premiere than a store opening. They have 50 classic old British Motorbikes revving up and roaring up and down the street.
They are all wearing BELSTAFF jackets of course.
Then they had a full stunt display team of maybe a dozen riders on three motorbikes up and down New Bond Street. Then David Beckham arrives and poses by an orange BMW motorbike in a BELSTAFF jacket.David Beckham has a few motorbikes at home.He then poses with male and female models in leather BELSTAFF jackets.
Loads of photographers here.
David Beckham looking totally cool as ever. out the BELSTAFF website.

10.45pm to 2.30am.MATTHEW WILLIAMSON LFW party at The Box,Soho,London W1.
Well known British fashion designer hosted a party for 200 folks after his catwalk show earlier that showed Matthew doing what he does best: 'hot clothes for party girls'.
The Box is the hippest venue in London.
No signs outside, just a big black door.
We had a full cabaret show as there were female acrobats,a burlesque show and a singer too.
A very lively party with Matthew Williamson in full party mode dancing on the tables and joining in with the stage acts.
His chums Sienna Miller and Jodie Kidd joined him.
Lots of complimentary Moet champers and Belvedere Vodka cocktails all night here.
It was so good i stayed a lot longer than i should have and it was still rockin' when i left at 2.30am

14 Sept 2013.Roger Waters live at Wembley Stadium,London.
In September 2010 Roger Waters commenced ‘The Wall Live’ world tour. The tour will conclude on September 21, 2013 in Paris after being performed 219 times. The tour has played to well over 3 million people and grossed well over 300 million dollars.
I went to see three Roger Waters at The 02 Arena shows in 2011 earlier on in this tour.
Roger Waters turned 70 on 06 Sept 2013.
The stadium is not sold out but it is still 90% full which is very impressive considering tickets were £75 and £60 for this show.
It is the last major outdoor gig of the year and Roger Waters was lucky with the weather as it stayed dry despite pouring rain the night before in London and pouring rain forecast for the day after.
Coming on stage at 8.05pm at this time of year worked well too as it was pretty dark by then so the visuals of the show worked great from the start. And WOW what stunning visuals they were.
'The Wall' is over 500 feet wide and around 40 projectors are used from the back of the floor standing area to project images on to 'The Wall'.
The show was around two hours over two sets.
The opening of the plane flying over the crowd crashing in to the wall is just totally mega.
Some inflatables and pyros too.
The sound is amazing as speakers are dotted all around the stadium so helicopters sound like they are hovering just above you..
So many great Pink Floyd tracks played but the best tracks for me were 'Comfortably Numb' and 'Run Like Hell'.
It was a superb show but i felt the indoor shows at The 02 Arena were slightly better for me.
Full setlist played....

12 Sept 2013.Today was DEF LEPPARD day as i did two events for the theatrical release on 19th Sept of 'VIVA HYSTERIA'.
4.15pm to 4.45pm interview with Joe Elliot and Rick Savage from Def Leppard at Gibson Studios,29-35 Rathbone Street,London W1.
The two band members are hosting a press day where they do loads of interviews to promote their new live dvd.
I have lots of history with Def Leppard as i have seen them over 20 times going back to 1979 when they supported AC/DC at Hammersmith Odeon.
I am one of eight journo folks in a room with Joe and Rick.Nice and relaxed where everyone pitches in with two or three questions each and as expected Joe does most of the talking.
I asked them "why no UK shows on their summer 2013 European Tour?".They said "they felt it was too soon to play the UK again as they did a full UK arena tour Dec 2011 with Motley Crue and Steel Panther supporting".I saw them at Wembley and Birmingham on that mega three band package.
I said told them "The Joint-Las Vegas is a great venue as i saw The Sex Pistols there a decade ago as it holds only 2000".Joe said "the venue is even better now as it has a balcony with boxes at the side and is now a 4000 capacity venue".
It was like a chat with friends down the pub.
Joe and Rick could not have been any nicer.
5pm to 5.45pm after going to the launch party on Friday i popped back to the 'Black Market Clash' pop up store and exhibition at 75 Berwick Street,Soho,London W1.
A great collection of the bands memorabilia here with guitars, lyrics, stage clothes and much more.

Complimentary beers, wines and Redbull for an hour then at 7pm Joe Elliot and Rick Savage introduce the film.
Def Leppard release their documentary 'Viva Hysteria' which follows the group as they performed their top-selling album 'Hysteria' in its entirety over a series of 11 gigs in Las Vegas venue The Joint earlier this year.
'Hysteria' was their fourth studio album and was originally released on 3 August 1987 through Mercury Records and re-released on 1 January 2000. It is the band's best-selling album to date, selling over 20 million copies worldwide, including 12 million in the US, and spawning seven hit singles. The album charted at #1 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on the UK Albums Chart.
The trademark Def Leppard wall of sound is
just great with the guitars and drums at full tilt as they play the album in track order.
Plenty of mega rock gems on this album.
4 "Love Bites"
5 "Pour Some Sugar on Me"
6."Armageddon It"

We had a bit of rain but not too much.
Smokey Robinson,Jessie J,James Blunt,Josh Grobam,Manic Street Preachers,Jack Johnson,Texas,Jamie Cullum and Simple Minds.
A great bill of lots of big names today who are playing pretty much greatest hits sets.Support acts were on for 25 to 35 mins each and Smokey Robinson played a bit longer at 65 mins.
With so many big names it is down to Simple Minds to come on first at 1.15pm to play four big hits.

Jamie Cullum played some piano based jazz pop.

The Manics were the best band for me today.Their 30 mins set just sounded fantastic with 'You Stole the Sun From My Heart','Your Love Alone Is Not Enough','Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head
(Snippet)',new single 'Show Me the Wonder',
'If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next','(It's Not War) Just the End of Love' and a mega 'A Design for Life'.
Josh Groban was not my cup of tea but most of the females here seem to like him.
James Blunt was better than expected as he played lots of hits and jumped into the crowd for the last song.Set = 'Stay the Night','Wisemen','Same Mistake','Goodbye My Lover','You're Beautiful', 'Bonfire Heart' and '1973'.
Jessie J played some hits and an Aerosmith cover

Robinson led the group from its 1955 origins as The Five Chimes until 1972 when he announced a retirement from the stage to focus on his role as Motown's vice president.
Smokey played a mix of his old hits and hits he has written for others including 'Going To A Go-Go','I Second That Emotion','You Really Got A Hold On Me','The Tears Of A Clown' and 'Tracks of My Tears'.He has not got a strong soul voice but it was an enjoyable set.
A fireworks finish again.
A great day with nine name acts playing live.

Blue played a few of their old hits and a couple of new tunes that were very catchy.
In the press area the only face i saw was Paul Wellers keyboard mate Mick Talbot who now plays with Dexys.
Tenor Joseph Calleja has a stunning voice and sung a few tunes.
Dame Edna Everage was very funny as usual.
The cast of Beatles musical 'Let It Be' did a few Beatles classics.
Nigel Kennedy played a couple. He also played at The Royal Albert Hall on the same night.
Headliner Bryan Ferry played 40 mins with a full orchestra, his own band and four female backing singers/dancers.Bryan looks fantastic for someone who is 68 in a couple of weeks time.

'Love Is The Drug','Jealous Guy' and 'Lets Stick Together'.An enjoyable set.
The last 45 mins was a live link up to a packed Royal Albert Hall where conductor Marin Alsop became the first woman to stand atop the podium on the 'Last Night of the Proms' -- a first in the event's 118-year history.
We then had mass singing as words put on the screens for 'Rule Britannia' and 'Land Of Hope And Glory' etc and flag waving.
A nice fireworks display at th
