Belinda Carlisle live at The Hippodrome Casino,London.
The show is in The Matcham cabaret room at this very popular massive casino.
An intimate setting as it only holds 200 and very cosy with a fantastic view for all here.
Soap actress Michelle Collins is in the crowd.
I saw Suzi Quatro play here a couple of years ago.
Lots of hardcore fans here and despite the silly high ticket prices there is a full house.
Downstairs are plush seats at tables at £100 each.
Upstairs are two rows of seats at £75 each.
Belinda sold loads of records from 1986 to 1996 with hit albums and over a dozen Top 40 singles.
Belinda is backed by a full six piece band.
Belinda is now aged 56 and still looking good.
They take to the stage at 8.10pm and play for 80 mins.
Lots of catchy singalong hits played.
An enjoyable show.

Let It Be --- press night--- at The Garrick Theatre,Charring Cross Road,London WC2.
Just after 7pm the band play a free show on the balcony of the theatre outside.
A few songs are played and a crowd of 200 folks passing by witness it.
7.30pm---the main show lasts for 2 hours 10 mins over two sets of 60 mins and 70 mins.
The hit Beatles musical Let It Be returns to London this winter for its third season in the West End.
The international hit show celebrating the music of The Beatles will play the Garrick Theatre from 28 February to 27 September 2015 ahead of a UK tour.
The show started its West End journey at the Prince of Wales Theatre in 2012, moving to the Savoy Theatre in 2013 and then returning to London’s Garrick Theatre earlier this year.
I went to both the press nights at the previous theatres.
The show has been seen by over 1,000,000 people worldwide and features over forty of The Beatles’ greatest hits including I Wanna Hold Your Hand, Hard Day’s Night, Day Tripper, Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band, Strawberry Fields, When I’m 64, Twist and Shout, Get Back and many more.
The ‘set’ was simply comprised of two large, funky looking television screens at each end of the stage, which were often used to project images and videos of the Beatles’ glory days.
The band play Beatles classics one after the other with various costume changes along the way.
They look like The Beatles, play like The Beatles and joke about like The Beatles.
The Beatles have got such an incredible back catalog that everyone will enjoy it.
Everyone is clapping and singing along to each song and everyone is up dancing and swaying for
the encores of 'Back In The USSR','Let It Be' and 'Hey Jude'.
It is essentially a top notch tribute band show rather than a musical with a proper story.
A really enjoyable show.

Monday 09 March 2015...7pm to 9pm...
Big Fernand --- press launch party --- 19 Percy Street,London W1.
French upmarket burger chain open their first store in London.
It is located three minutes north of Tottenham Court Road tube station.
It seats 60 over two floors.
The cheeses are all from France and this store uses British Beef.
The menu lists six house burgers, but you can also build your own. Choose from beef, chicken, lamb, veal
and veggie and then add cheese, grilled vegetables, streaky bacon, sauces, herbs or spices.
You order at the counter and then you find a seat.
Chips as well and the concept even extends to the drinks and desserts, with homemade soda, organic lemonade, and traditional puddings.
I had a beef burger with cheese,a lamb burger with cheese, large fries and some drinks so was pretty full up.
Quick and friendly service comes from staff in checked shirts, all part of why Big Fernand has shot to the top of Paris’s burger ranks. The only slight quibble is the price – £12 for a burger.
The quality of the ingredients is high but it feels a little much to pay for what is still fast food.
Fancy a free burger from them?
They are giving away 100 each day from noon onwards for three days.
Tues 10 March,Wed 11 March,Thurs 12 March.
The only condition is you wear a striped shirt / t-shirt or wear a real / fake moustache.
More info on their Facebook page.

MANE CHANCE SANCTUARY --- fundraising evening --- at The Theatre Royal,Windsor,Berkshire.
One of those evenings where a dozen known names are listed but you don't exactly know if they will be performing or introducing or just showing their face.
It's a mainly older crowd as most of the folks on stage had their heyday in the 1970s and 1980s.
The show lasted 2 hours 30 mins over two sets of 65 mins and 85 mins.
We have a house band who back most of the acts as they perform two or three tracks each.
The host tonight is Russell Grant.
Actress Jenny Seagrove is here as the patron of the charity and says a few words on stage.
In the crowd is theatre impresario and Everton FC chairman Bill Kenwright.
Red Room Theatre Company performed two songs.
Dean Gaffney (Eastenders actor) said a few words.
James Michael performed a couple of good songs with an acoustic guitar.
Rula Lenska (actress) did a routine with Keith Barron (actor) and Liza Goddard(actress).
Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts performed a couple of opera tunes.
Lesley Joseph(Birds Of A Feather actress) said a few words.
Brighton Gospel Choir performed three songs.
A brass band play four tracks ending with 'Ob-La-Di,Ob-La-Da'.
Camp comedian Kevin Cruise was very funny with some great audience participation.
Peter Howarth the current singer of The Hollies sung 'He Ain't Heavy,He's My Brother'.
Roy Marsden(actor) said a few words.
Anita Harris sung three songs.
Lorraine Chase(actress) performed a routine.
We had a couple of opera singers sing the big tunes from Les Mis..'Bring Him Home' and 'I Dreamed A Dream'.
Marti Webb sung a couple of tunes.
For the finale Jenny Seagrove introduced a short film on the charity and then all the cast took a bow.
An enjoyable enough evening.
About the charity...
This charity supports the long term care for abused, ill and abandoned horses and animals.
The Mane Chance mission is to rescue and rehabilitate old, abused and abandoned horses. The aim is to integrate them with the local community, welcoming sick, special needs and underprivileged youngsters to our Sanctuary and bringing equine residents to those who are not able to travel. Founded in 2011 by actress, Jenny Seagrove, a 47 acre site in Compton, Surrey is now home to Mane Chance Sanctuary. It is a vast oasis of peace and tranquility for 25 current residents.
They have been our friends and our workmates for centuries and now they are being discarded in rising numbers.
Beaten, abused, starved to the stage of collapse, left with open wounds or broken bones they have survived and deserve to live the rest of their days with comfort and dignity. Here, they can live a wonderfully free and safe life where they are loved and fed in equal measure.
Visit The Mane Chance Sanctuary website for more info.
Sunday 08 March 2015.
I went to both these classic shows from the past.
Can you spot who the drummer is?...
watch Alanis hereAlanis Morissette 'You Oughta Know' ---Live from Hyde Park in 1996.
Alanis Morissette ,Subterania , London...28.09.1995.
Sold out one off debut UK club show .current single is the fantasic You Oughta Know.
She has the lot with great lyrics, looks, attitude.
She comes on in a wig then tears into a stunning 70 mins set of great tunes and mad dancing .
The drummer was Taylor Hawkins who a bit later in 1997 joined The Foo Fighters.
Eric Clapton + The Who with Quadrophenia + Bob Dylan +Alanis Morissette,Hyde Park , London ...29.09.1996...
Too many of this huge 100,000+ crowd treated the day like a big picnic and not bothered about the bands that much so a lot of atmosphere was just lost.Alanis did a good set and Bob Dylan did 60 mins but did not reach further than his hardcore fans down the front .Quadrophenia lasted 90 mins but it mostly went over the heads of this lot.Eric Clapton did an ok 90 mins set .
Saturday 07 March 2015.
Country to Country Festival live at The 02 Arena,London.
This was Day 1 of the 2 days here for The Country to Country Festival.
It is the UKs biggest country festival and folks of all ages are here.
Featuring Luke Bryan + Florida Georgia Line + Lee Ann Womack.
The three acts are all massive back home in America but not that well known over here.
However The 02 Arena is totally sold out.
We get to the venue at 5pm to catch a couple of the free acts playing by the Starbucks.
There are stands selling country music clothing and country CDs.
Lots of the crowd are wearing country clothing like checked shirts etc.
The host tonight was Bob Harris from The Old Grey Whistle Test and BBC Radio 2.
I think all three headline acts tonight were making their debut performance in the UK.
All three acts used big screens with an impressive light show.
LEE ANN WOMACK took to the stage at 6pm for a 60 mins set.
Lee Ann Womack is an American country music singer and songwriter, who is best known for her old fashioned-styled country music songs that often discuss subjects such as cheating and lost love. Her 2000 single, "I Hope You Dance" was a major crossover music hit, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Country Chart and the Top 15 of the Billboard Hot 100, becoming her signature song.
Her total album sales have passed 6 million.
Lee Ann Womack has the perfect smile and perfect blonde hair and some fantastic lyrics.
Tracks such such as "Twenty Years And Two Husbands Ago" and "I'll Think Of A Reason Later"
were brilliant and she won me over for sure.
She played her mega hit "I Hope You Dance" near the end.

FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE took to the stage at 7.30pm for a 70 mins set.
They have been nominated and won many awards in North America.
Florida Georgia Line came out of nowhere in 2012 to become the biggest country group of the new decade. The vehicle of their success was "Cruise," a slick, shimmering ode to the wide-open road that became an unkillable crossover hit in 2013 and, eventually, the biggest country single of all time. After "Cruise" broke through on its own merits, reaching 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, its life was extended thanks to a remix featuring rapper Nelly.
It would eventually sell a staggering 6.5 million copies including digital sales.
Both of their albums were million sellers.
Loads of great songs with "Dirt" and it's video going down really well.
Their sound was mainly much more rockier than their name would suggest.
Two male singers with tattoos and toned stomachs under their singlets had hints of Kid Rock and
their amazing drummer with arms all over the place thought he was in Linkin Park.
They are produced by Nickelbacks producer and you can see his input as they do sound like
'a country Nickelback' with lyrics about girls, drinking and hanging out with your buddies.
I doubt the country purists like them but I really enjoyed their set.

This Is How We Roll

LUKE BRYAN took to the stage at 9.15pm for a 80 mins set.
Luke Bryan's fourth album 'Crash My Party' released in 2013 reached number one in America and
sold over 2.4 million copies.
Luke Bryan's main appeal seems to be "frat boy country rock" over on the other side of the pond.
Simple lyrics and videos focusing on drinking beers and girls in bikinis.
They are perfect for country rock radio which is very popular with the youngsters.
A couple of piano based songs sounded like Reo Speedwagon and then he would turn his baseball cap
the wrong way round and come out with some dodgy Craig David type lyrics.
Tonight I felt both the support acts were better than his average set.
We popped into the media room a couple of times for complimentary coffee, tea, cookies and pastries.
Friday 06 March 2015.
David Gilmour has added two extra shows on Oct 2 and Oct 3 at The Royal Albert Hall.
This makes five RAH shows in total after announcing three shows there for Sept 23,24,25.
All five shows sold out pronto.
Thursday 05 March 2015...I went to three events tonight...
6pm to 7.30pm.
UK Premiere of the KORG ARP ODYSSEY at Phonica Records, 51 Poland Street,Soho,London W1.
Featuring live sets by The Radiophonic Workshop + Nikki Murray.
From Abba to Zappa, the ARP ODYSSEY dominated the sound of the 1970s, changing the musical landscape and fortunes of a who's who of rock and pop royalty. The ARP ODYSSEY featured on hit after hit plus TV and film themes including ‘Dr Who’ and ‘Close Encounters of the Third Kind’.
Now after more than 40 years in the wilderness, the ARP Odyssey has been revived for the 21st century by pioneering music equipment manufacturer KORG, to inspire a whole new generation of electronic music-makers. The 2015 KORG ARP ODYSSEY not only retains the classic appearance and features of this iconic synth, but also boasts compatibility with the latest digital music technology.
Over 200 folks in the huge basement area of this 'electronic music' store in Soho.
Complimentary beers, wines and nice food from Yo Sushi for all guests.
There are djs playing electronica between acts.
We have a dalek roaming the room as The Radiophonic Workshop recorded the original Dr Who theme.
Up first is Nikki Murray who plays a 15 mins acoustic set featuring different TAKAMINE acoustic guitars.
At 6.40pm we get a rare 50 mins live set from The Radiophonic Workshop.
There are still two originals in the five piece band.
The Radiophonic Workshop – the electronic Buena Vista Social Club, a "band that never was", masters of their craft finally coming together late in life. While their demeanour might occasionally seem a little more Krankies than Kraftwerk, these old colleagues – now playing together as a band after decades working separately in little studios tucked away deep in the BBC's Broadcasting House – are now getting their due as true pioneers of electronic sound. Deceased RWS members Delia Derbyshire, Daphne Oram and John Baker may have retro cachet already, with Derbyshire, who recorded the original Doctor Who theme, beloved of the electronica and record collecting communities, and Oram now the subject of a Science Museum exhibition. But this is a concerted effort to bring their tradition well and truly to life: gigging, remixing and recording new tracks. And generations of musicians are queuing up to work with them, or to simply pay tribute to their music and influence.
They are showing BBC tv images on the big screen from the 1970s as they play including the test card,
Dr Who and other shows.
They finish their set with The Dr Who theme and it was a very enjoyable and interesting event.
Even the dalek was nodding along.
8pm to 8.45pm.
Antony Price --- 70th birthday party --- at Blake's Hotel,33 Roland Gardens,London SW7.
Over to the South Kensington/Gloucester Road area to this five star luxury boutique hotel.
Legendary fashion designer Antony Price was a big name in the 1960s/1970s/1980s.
Price's button trousers for Stirling Cooper were worn by Mick Jagger for The Rolling Stones' 1969 American Gimme Shelter Tour.In addition, his bridge-crutch trousers were feat of technical skill, inventing a new construction that high-lighted the male crotch and buttocks. He was the stylist for Roxy Music's first EIGHT albums, as well as for the back cover for Lou Reed's 1972 Transformer album. His self-declared trademark design is a spiral-zipped dress in ciré satin, first seen worn by Amanda Lear in Nova's cover story for its May 1970 issue, 'How To Undress for Your Husband' and later featured as one of 'Princess Zonda's archetypal outfits in the advertisements Price drew himself for Plaza in the late seventies. The Lear pictures appeared in Peter York's feature on Price in Harper's and Queen's April 1979 issue.Lear was also the Price-dressed
covergirl for Roxy Music's 1973 album 'For Your Pleasure'.
In 1982 Price collaborated with Duran Duran, designing electric silk tonic suits for the "Rio" video.
This was a small private drinks party for maybe 50 people at most.
The host tonight is Nick Rhodes from Duran Duran and Antony Price is here with a bushy grey beard.
There is great turnout here with all four members of Duran Duran,Gary Kemp from Spandau Ballet,
Siouxsie Sioux,Sir Bob Geldof,Nancy Dell'Olio,Janet Street Porter,Chris Jagger,
Holly Johnson from Frankie Goes To Hollywood,Yasmin Le Bon,Amber Le Bon and Pam Hogg.
The event was 8pm to 10pm but we left after a couple of complimentary champers as it was so small
and I was getting texts at how good the Sotheby's party was so we headed off to that.
9.15pm to 11.30pm.
Bear Witness ---- private view party --- at Sotheby's,34 New Bond Street,London W1.
This was a mega party for sure as over 500 folks here.
Not your normal suits and ties Sotheby's crowd but a much cooler well dressed crowd.
In all the times I have been to events here it has never looked like this.
There are circus acts all over the place entertaining the crowd in different rooms.
Some of the staff are wearing face paint and body paint and some of the punters are too as
the dress theme was Bears,Skulls,Tattoos.
We have a pair of djs and a huge mirrored dance floor area and folks are dancing away.
Complimentary champers, different cocktails, wines, beers, bowl food and canapés for all guests.
No celebs as such but a totally lively rockin' party that was much better than the Antony Price event before.

Wednesday 04 March 2015 at 7.45pm.
Before this game it was third from the bottom against third from the top.
QPR 1 Arsenal 2.
I met up with Sex Pistol Glen Matlock to watch the game from Block B in the South Africa Road stand.
Also here was Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew who QPR visit soon.
Also we had John Hollins say a few words during the interval on the pitch.
He played for QPR 40 years ago as well as Chelsea and Arsenal.
A nice sold out atmosphere with the first half fairly even.
In the second half Arsenal turned up the quality and scored two good goals.
QPR got a great goal 10 mins from the end but sadly did not get a second.
QPR need to get a couple of wins pronto before they run out of games and get relegated.
Tuesday 03 March 2015...6.45pm to 9pm...
Brian Sewell: 'The White Umbrella' - book launch party at Fortnum & Mason, 181 Piccadilly, London, W1.
Always nice to be at this historic store where everything is presented so nicely.
The event is held in their 5th floor bar and restaurant area.
Brian Sewell is here signing copies of his book behind a table.
A couple of folks give short speeches.
Some faces here included Sir Bob Geldof,Nancy Dell'Olio,Cleo Rocos,Tamara Beckwith,
Gyles Brandreth and Peter York.
Complimentary Fortnum & Mason champers, martini cocktails and canapés n desserts for all guests.
Legendary art critic Brian Sewell has written his first children’s book at the age of 83 - because he is concerned that the young lack curiosity.
He has been the main art critic for the London Evening Standard since 1984 and is noted for his acerbic view of conceptual art and the Turner Prize. He has been described as "Britain's most famous and controversial art critic".
'The White Umbrella' is inspired by the true story of a wounded donkey he was desperate to save when filming in Peshawar, Pakistan, 20 years ago.
“It was tiny and far too young to be carrying a load,” he said. “She was bleeding heavily from four wounds caused by loads on her back. My instincts were to take her.”
But, unlike his semi-autobiographical hero Mr B, he failed to help. As he acknowledges at the start of his book, it is “on my conscience still”.
He said the story of Mr B and the donkey Pavlova was in many ways a plea for an education “that encourages children to look about them and think, What is that? And why is that? And to be interested in things”.
He added: “I find young people - even in their twenties - have absolutely no interest in what is going on about them. I hope they will be encouraged to be curious about things.”
The book is published via Quartet Books and retails at £9.99 but no doubt a bit cheaper on Amazon etc.
Monday 02 March 2015...7.15pm to 11.15pm...

Very lively and busy here and the dj is playing loud tunes.
We have a bucking bronco here for the first hour and folks were having a go on it then it is
taken away to make more space as it got busier.
We have a trio of showgirls doing some dance displays.
Also for some reason there is a man in a Gorilla suit walking among the crowd.
We had a couple of live songs by McBusted which were their hits 'Get Over It' and 'Air Hostess'.

Sex Pistols 'God Save The Queen' single on A&M has sold for £6,000.
Even at that figure it seems a bargain as many have sold for a bit more.
An unnamed private collector bought the mint-condition record, from Special Auction Services in
Alan Pritchard, SAS's music and entertainment specialist, said: 'The Sex Pistols are such a cult band and
this is the most iconic withdrawn single".
'There are very few in existence as most were destroyed when the band was dropped.
Just a handful were kept behind by people in the industry".
'When you get rareties like this it attracts a lot of interest from collectors, vinyl is highly sought after worldwide.'
The highest recorded sale of the A & M version of God Save the Queen was £13,000 in 2006
when a UK collector sold a copy with its A & M card envelope.

Sham 69 live at The 100 Club,London.
Not surprising this show sold out in advance as Sham 69 do not play that often.
A special show to celebrate singer Jimmy Purseys 60th birthday which was on 09 Feb.
Line up still features three original members...
Watch this great video of Jarvis Cocker covering the Sham 69 classic 'If The Kids Are United'.
watch the video here------I saw Sham 69 live 11 times in their late 1970s heyday.
They had four Top 10 hits in the late 1970s.
watch Sham 69 hereSham 69 - Hurry Up Harry (Original Promo Video) (1978)
I saw Sham 69 at The Rainbow both as a support band to The Clash and as a headline band.
Sham 69 gigs had plenty of violence at their gigs as they attracted the skinheads and National Front.
There were more fights at their gigs than The Sex Pistols and The Clash combined
Jimmy Pursey would always have to stop the show to try and calm it all down at least a couple of times.
The band have had many ups and downs over the past 35 years which even includes a tribute band
with the same name still playing gigs and it's all very messy and confusing.
Tonight we have two support bands who both play a decent 30 mins set of uptempo tunes.
First up were Dirt Royal from Brighton then Knock Off from Watford.
They both played tracks from their debut albums.
The dj is playing some classic punk and ska tunes between the bands.
Sham 69 still attract lots of older skinheads with bald heads and their trademark attire.
Sham 69 play a fantastic 60 mins lively set that really gets the crowd jumping about.
Just like the old days you get the "anything can happen" feeling when Sham 69 play.
It's a mess of sweaty heaving bodies from the start down the front.
So many great catchy pop punk tunes played tonight.
There were a couple of "Happy Birthday" singalongs for Jimmy on his 60th.
Halfway through the set folks start getting on stage to sing with the band just the old days
and it's just fantastic to witness.
For the last two songs there are 30 people on stage at this legendary venue.
Somehow with bodies, microphones and leads all over the place the sound does not cut out.
Jimmy Pursey on top form and a totally mega gig.
On the way out everyone got a free copy of their recent album 'The Evolution Of Punk' which
includes studio tracks and live tracks from Blackpool Rebellion Festival 2013.

That’s the name of Downing’s new fragrance, which the guitarist recently debuted and, as he told Planet Rock, was inspired by the sudden realization that the perfume market was completely missing something that smelled like rock ‘n’ roll.

Cahoots London - launch party at Cahoots, 13 Kingly Court, London, W1.
Back again at this basement bar.
Last night was a press view and tonight is the launch party.
The Standard paper today featured a great article on the venue which is great publicity.
More of an upmarket crowd tonight with a few celebs including Denise van Outen,
Natalie Pinkham,Holly Branson,Linzi Stoppard and Lizzie Cundy.
Complimentary cocktails, wines, beers and canapés like last night.
Again it was buzzing down here and I think it will be popular.

10.30pm I was told earlier in the evening about a Madonna party at Annabel's so popped along
but without an advance guest list it was impossible to get in.
Madonna turned up and guests included Noel Gallagher,Kanye West,Kim Kardashian,
Rita Ora,Nick Grimshaw,Mark Ronson and Lindsay Lohan.
The party was held after her tv recording of an hour long special for The Jonathan Ross Show
that will on the telly sometime in March.
Wednesday 25 February 2015...I went to two events tonight...
7pm to 10pm
Cahoots London - press view - Cahoots, 13 Kingly Court, London, W1.
A great theme for this new basement bar that is located off Carnaby Street.
Londoners will be able to drink on the Tube for the first time since the booze ban after an underground venue used as an air raid shelter was turned into a 1940s-themed bar.
Cahoots is the latest concept by club bosses Charlie Gilkes and Duncan Stirling, owners of the Bunga Bunga bar and the Margaret Thatcher-inspired Maggie’s nightclub.
The site, in the Kingly Court redevelopment off Carnaby Street, was formerly the pair’s Disco club, but is now a post-World War Two ‘Tube station’ complete with carriages, bunk beds and sandbags leftover from the Blitz.
They say "Our concept is: it’s 1946, London is being rebuilt after the Blitz. A group of scoundrels stumble across a disused Tube station used as an air raid shelter and start organising underground parties to try and rebuild the spirit of London.”
The staff are all dressed in 1940s attire and are making a fuss of all the guests.
Tonight there is a choice of four complimentary cocktails along with wines, beers and 1940s inspired food.
The bar when open to the public next week will have over 40 different cocktails on the menu.
A buzzing fun atmosphere and a venue well worth a visit.

10.45pm to 2.30am
The BRIT Awards 2015 (BRITs) - Warner Music Group party at The Freemasons Hall,
60 Great Queen Street, London, WC2.
A massive crowd of 700 or 800 people here over two floors.
Like us half the crowd were not even at the main awards itself.
We attended last years Warner Music BRITs party which was mega with Nile Rodgers
playing an hour long set and Kylie joined him for a couple of songs.
Again Warner have got a better turn out of celebs than rival parties from Sony and Universal.
Warner have spent two days tarting the venue up with carpets, velvet curtains, furniture and bars etc.
Guests here included Ed Sheeran,Royal Blood,Damon Albarn,Graham Norton,Jonathan Ross,
Dermot O'Leary,Ant and Dec(BRITs presenters),Tracey Emin(designed the BRITs statues),Arthur Baker,
Rita Ora,Miles Kane,Holly Willoughby,Robert Pattinson,FKA Twigs,Mark Ronson,Janelle Monae,
Stephen Webster,Millie Macintosh,Daisy Lowe,Nicola Roberts and Nicholas Hoult.
We missed a couple of others including Jimmy Page,Stereophonics and Orlando Bloom who may have
headed straight to the vip room.
So many people here spread out all over the place so easy to miss folks.
We had djs including Pete Tong playing hour stints each and we had a couple of live acts.
Jess Glynne played two songs including the Clean Bandit hit 'Rather Be' that she sung vocals on.
Charli XCX played three songs.
Complimentary choice of four different CIROC vodka cocktails,Nyetimber sparkling wines and beers.
A totally excellent party.
Tuesday 25 February 2015.
Queen + Adam Lambert live at Wembley Arena,London.
Queen return to London on their UK and European Tour that took place in Jan and Feb.
They have already played two shows at The 02 Arena in January.
I went to their New Years Eve show at the 2000 capacity Central Hall,Westminster.
They are one of the biggest selling album acts of all time.
I have seen them loads of times since 1973 when they were a support band.
I have a great floor standing view around 20 yards in front of Brian May.
A rockin' sold out atmosphere tonight.
Queen + Adam Lambert arrive on stage at 8.20pm for a nice long 2 hours 30 mins set.
It's a full monty arena production with big screens,a stage extension, mini walkways and lights and lasers.
This was the fourth time I had seen them with Adam Lambert and he just gets better and better.
He really is a perfect choice for Queen songs and engages with the crowd much better than
their previous singer Paul Rodgers.
Cocky, camp and swaggering Lambert was both a Mercury clone and his own man.
The set was pretty much in three parts with the first third lots of great uptempo mega tunes then the
second third with acoustic songs and bass, drums and guitar solos and the final third with another bunch of classics.
Roger Taylor even brought a second drum kit to the end of the stage extension for a couple of songs.
Freddie Mercury appeared on the big screen a couple of times to big cheers.
Brian May and his guitar sounded fantastic and he got a bit emotional when speaking to the crowd.
Adam Lambert had four costume changes.
So many great songs and a fantastic show overall.

Monday 23 February 2015.
As I get older the thought of standing up all day at outdoor music festivals gets
less appealing as I would rather see my bands indoors to be honest but this bill looks like a must see.

The UK's #1 Gig-Goer
In November 2008 the BBC confirmed me as the UK's number one gig-goer. The jacket was a gig-going prize from Q Magazine a few years ago. I do not wear it outside of the house let alone out to gigs!
Over 5,500 gigs now seen by me since 1973 covering all genres. I still go to over 100 gigs a year.

Let me plan it for you!
